Shanghai Content Creation: Planning Multi-Format Shoots

Shanghai content creation can cover several outputs from one production day: a main brand film, short social edits, interview clips and selected photographs. The challenge is deciding which material can genuinely be shared across those outputs and which requires a separate setup. A deliverable matrix turns a broad request for content into a workable shoot brief.

Map each output to an audience

List the platform, audience, message, approximate length and owner for every deliverable. A recruitment clip may need employees to explain their work, while a product announcement needs a clear demonstration. When two outputs have different purposes, give them different interview questions or visual priorities instead of relying on one generic statement.

Protect framing for each format

Tell the camera team whether the campaign needs landscape, portrait or square versions. Discuss which compositions can support several crops and which need dedicated takes. Leave room for captions and graphic overlays where they are part of the design. A later crop cannot recover an important gesture or product detail that was outside the recorded frame.

Build a modular interview plan

Group questions by topic and identify the short answers each edit needs. Ask contributors for clear, self-contained explanations rather than a single long speech covering every message. Keep factual approval with the appropriate client contact, and record product names or specialist terms for the editor so that captions can be checked accurately.

Set rules for reuse and review

Agree which assets may be reused, who owns the final approvals and whether captions, language versions and source files are included. Name the feedback contact and consolidate comments before each revision. The number of outputs is only useful when each version has an agreed purpose and an unambiguous delivery specification.

Review the existing work portfolio for production context, then send the output list through the contact page. Include the priority version so the shoot plan can protect the most important deliverable first.
